About us:
The National cadet’s corps was established in the year 15 July 1979 at Bihar Agricultural College, BAU, Sabour. National cadet’s corps is a tri-services organization .The Army, Navy and Air force engaged in grooming the youth. “The Leader of Tomorrow” into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The genesis of the NCC can be traced back to the first world-war. When the Britishers created the university corps as the second line of the defence and to have a laye pool of trained youth available for employment into the armed force. After independence the present day NCC under the Ministry of Defence came into existence on 16 April 1948 through NCC Act, XXXVI of 1948 under the Ministry of Defence (MOD). NCC was formally inaugurated on 15 July, 1948 as soon as the school and college reopened after summer vacation. The girls division of the NCC was started in 1949 July. Presently, NCC has approximately 18 lakh cadets under its fold.
On-going Activities:
Cadets of NCC under Bihar Agricultural are regularly organized various activities viz. Drill, Puneet Sagar Abhyan, Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Adventure Training, Social Walk, Run for fun rally, pledge against the Social Evil like volunteer services in COVID-19 pendamic, No Tobacco Day, Anti-Terrorism Day, G-20 Submit Presidency, NCC Day, Traffic Control, Cyber-Crime Control, Digital India and Women Domestic Violence etc. at institutional level and sub divisional level.
NCC Motto :
The Motto of the NCC is ‘Unity and Discipline’ which was adopted on 23 Dec 1957. In living upto its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of our nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of our country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of our nation.
Preamble of NCC :
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is governed by NCC Act 1948 and attendant NCC Rules. It functions under the Ministry of Defence and is headed by DGNCC. It is organised into 17 State Directorates each headed by an Additional/Deputy Director General.
Objectives of NCC:
- Develop character, camaraderie, discipline, and secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, sportsman spirit and ideals of selfless service amongst cadets by working in teams, honing qualities such as self-discipline, self-confidence, self-reliance and dignity of labour in the cadets.
- To create interest in cadets by including and laying emphasis on those aspects of Institutional Training which attract young cadets into the NCC and provides them an element of thrill and excitement?
- To inculcate defence Services work ethos that is characterized by hard work, sincerity of purpose, honesty, ideal of selfless service, dignity of labour, secular outlook, comradeship, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship.
- To create a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.
- To provide conducive environment to motivate young Indians to choose the Armed Forces as a career.

Message for NCC Cadets:
It’s my great honour & privilege to welcome you to Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour the historical place in the map of undivided India wherein one of the agricultural college was established by the British in the year 1908. The university started it journey in this historical place 2010. The number of seat in NCChas fifty two (52) under which seventeen (17) for senior wings (SW) and thirty five (35) for senior division (SD) afterjoining NCC, cadets fell to changed his/her life and life become more disciplined and punctual, personality has been changed, by training they become to know what is unity is by unity we overcome disabilities.
