About us:
The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) was established in the year 2011 at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour. The center will strive to improve the quality of teaching and learning by initiating different workshops, seminars and training programs for the students and teachers on multidisciplinary aspects. Together with it, the center will encourage innovation, collaboration and experimentation in teaching and learning practices in agriculture. The center will carry out the following activities for the overall improvement of teaching and learning at the university:

Our Vision :
The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) has a new identity that reflects its renewed energy and expanded vision. CETL aims to equip students and teachers at the university with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes required in their profession to impact their learning outcomes positively. The Center continues to offer contemporary academic programs that provide relevant skills and perspectives to students, practicing teachers, and professionals.
Despite the importance of Teacher Education in the education system, it is one of the least focused areas. Strengthening teachers is the key to sustainable long-term reform since they impact the lives of thousands of students in their teaching careers. Therefore, the center will also focus on this pillar and enhance its effectiveness.
Message for Faculty Members :
The faculty members from different universities in India and abroad, including Bihar Agricultural University, can send a proposal to CETL, BAU, Sabour, if they wish to organize a workshop/ training programme on multidisciplinary teaching and learning benefitting both students and teachers.
Ongoing Activities :
Different workshops and training sessions are regularly organized to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience. These include training on using reference management software, improving academic writing skills, understanding research methodology, preparing for interviews, getting ready for graduate courses abroad with an assistantship, and attending Design thinking workshops specifically for educators.
